Festival?
We put SENTRair® up over one of the most complex airspaces in the country, for one of the busiest weekends in the country, and recorded everything it saw. We are writing up what we found.
A restricted airspace zone that was anything but empty.
A festival site is the hardest environment we could have picked: dense crowds, a forest of temporary steelwork, thousands of phones saturating the spectrum, helicopters and light aircraft overhead, and a restricted airspace zone over the whole of it.
The tower went up in minutes, calibrated itself against the clutter around it, and then watched. Every track it held was recorded: when it appeared, where it came from, how it behaved, whether it was broadcasting anything about itself at all, and how close it came to the crowd.
The whitepaper sets out the method, the sensor mix, and what the data says about drone activity over a major public event. If your responsibilities include crowds, a perimeter or an airspace that a restriction alone does not protect, it is worth twenty minutes of your time.
