Former Altitude Angel executives launch Wardyn Technologies, a British threat detection and intelligence company tackling drones and insider threats

Barely a day passes without a new drone threat in the news. Insider threats get far less coverage: a badge used by the wrong person, or a patrol that never reached its checkpoints. Both come down to the same question. Do you know what’s happening on your site?
Wardyn Technologies is a threat detection and intelligence company focused on drones and insider threats, serving defence, critical infrastructure, security and commercial customers. Its two products share one core: technology that fuses data from many different sensors and systems into a single picture, then uses AI to pick out what matters. SENTRair® watches the airspace. Forseti watches for the threat that is already through the gate.
Both run locally, with no cloud dependency, for sites where connectivity, data sovereignty or cyber security rule out sending data off-site. The company designs and assembles its systems in Great Britain.
SENTRair®: do you know where the drones are?
Not all drone detection systems are created equal. Most on the market rely on the drone broadcasting some kind of signal. That’s like hoping the burglar in your house calls the police on themselves. Real threats, the emerging ones, don’t broadcast. They’re flown on GPS alone, or over fibre optic.
When you absolutely must detect the drone, the gold standard is RADAR. But RADAR is expensive and fickle. It’s tricky to set up, needs engineers to deploy, and in urban environments it can produce a very high false-positive rate. Wardyn offers a solution that is rapidly deployed where you need it.
SENTRair® is a multi-sensor data fusion command and control system built around persistent RADAR surveillance. It combines RADAR, optical, thermal, acoustic and RF sensors with cooperative sources such as ADS-B and Remote ID to build a real-time local air picture, then detects, tracks and classifies aerial targets automatically. Auto-calibration, auto-terrain mapping and AI-powered tuning keep set-up short and false alarms low.
Operators are alerted when activity enters an area of interest. Every incident is recorded automatically, with after-action reports generated for review. SENTRair® is sensor-agnostic. It supports established standards including ASTERIX and SAPIENT, and its I/O API connects it to a wide range of other security and command and control systems.
Applications include military and naval facilities, airports, prisons, energy sites, ports, industrial sites and major events.
Forseti: detecting the threat from inside
Prisons, airports and critical national infrastructure already generate plenty of security data. Door access control, patrol checkpoints and cameras each record their own slice, but rarely talk to each other. That gap is where insider threats go unnoticed.
Forseti closes it. It learns normal patrol patterns for each route and officer, uses existing cameras to check that the person presenting a badge is the person it belongs to, and flags deviations with the evidence attached. It reports what it observed and leaves a person to decide why, since a late patrol can have an operational, welfare or security explanation. Forseti never ranks staff and keeps no standing risk score on anyone.
Checkpoints use Forseti Wall Tags, cryptographic tags that standard iPhone and Android handsets can read, replacing proprietary wand-based guard tour readers.

The team has already put SENTRair® to work at the recent Reading Festival, where the system was positioned and set up within minutes and watched the airspace over one of the most complex environments imaginable. What they found would surprise just about anyone.
